Job Description

As a Dairy Department Manager, you will oversee daily operations in our dairy facility, ensuring adherence to quality standards while managing a talented team. This role demands a hands-on approach and a keen understanding of dairy production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the operations of the dairy department, ensuring efficient processes from production to distribution.
  • Perform regular quality audits to maintain standards.
  • Train staff on the best practices in production and quality controls.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for raw materials and assist in inventory management.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control efforts for the dairy department.
  • Enhance team performance by fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Engage with local communities to promote our dairy products.
  • Supervise the use and maintenance of processing equipment.
  • Develop strategic plans for departmental growth and sustainability.
  • Report to senior management on departmental performance and initiatives.
  • Contribute to health and safety training to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
