Job Description

As a Highway Maintenance Worker, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and safety of roads in the Greater Manchester area. Your responsibilities will include performing regular inspections, repairing road damage, and working collaboratively with a dedicated team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect infrastructure to detect issues early.
• Effectively repair road damages to maintain a safe travel environment.
• Participate in removal of snow and ice when necessary.
• Ensure installation of signs and other safety gear is up to standard.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment used in maintenance operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Some experience in related fields of construction or road maintenance preferred.

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation
• Road maintenance procedures

Certifications

• Health and Safety Awareness Certificate
• CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme)
