Job Description

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound scans, operating ultrasound equipment, and providing critical information for patient care. Your role will include working closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, particularly echocardiography.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear explanations of the process.
  • Ensure all patient information is documented accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on their conditions and potential treatment options.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuous professional development.
  • Maintain equipment according to industry standards and operational protocols.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and infection control measures rigorously.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
