Job Description

As a Retail Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in selecting and procuring products that meet our customer demands. Your strategic sourcing and negotiation skills will help shape our retail offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish relationships with potential suppliers.
  • Monitor and analyse product performance within the retail sector.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements that align with company goals.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop effective merchandising strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Continuously assess market trends to keep the product offering relevant.
  • Manage product life cycles for seasonal and permanent collections.
  • Develop forecasts based on historical sales data and trends.
  • Maintain inventory levels in line with company objectives.
  • Provide training and support to junior purchasing staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Retail Management or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in retail buying or purchasing
