Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Deckman to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to deck maintenance, operations, and crew collaboration, ensuring the smooth running of our maritime operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily deck operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the captain and bridge team for effective navigation.
• Manage the loading and unloading of cargo following safety regulations.
• Document all maintenance and operational tasks executed on deck.
• Assist with onboard emergency procedures and response team.
• Innovate strategies for improved operational efficiency on deck.

Requirements

Education

• Valid Deck Officer Certificate of Competency (STCW)
• Higher Maritime Certifications

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in deck supervisory roles.

Technical Skills

• Cargo Handling Procedures
• Emergency Response

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• Advanced Firefighting (STCW)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with specialized deck equipment or systems.: Hands-on experience with advanced deck machinery is preferred.
