Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from conception through to production.
• Utilize FEA and CFD tools to analyze designs.
• Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines.
• Document and communicate design changes effectively.
• Assist in the development of cost estimates for projects.
• Maintain project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure that all engineering work is completed to high standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or design

• Ansys
• Project management software

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in CATIA software: Experience in using CATIA for mechanical design projects.
