Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team in Cheltenham. You will play a pivotal role in helping patients recover and improve their quality of life through rehabilitation strategies tailored to their individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a range of physical and psychological conditions.
• Develop individualized care plans that address specific patient goals and needs.
• Assist patients in regaining independence in daily activities.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to enhance social skills and teamwork.
• Keep up to date with best practices in occupational therapy and healthcare.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and students.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working with diverse patient populations

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Rehabilitation
• Assistive Technology

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Crisis Management

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with pediatrics or geriatric populations.: Experience treating paediatric or elderly patients is a plus.
• Familiarity with NHS systems and procedures.: Understanding of the NHS guidelines and operational systems.
