Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radio Astronomer to join our team. The successful candidate will work on advanced research projects involving the study of celestial objects using radio telescopes and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct radio astronomy observations using telescopes and associated instruments.
• Analyze and interpret observational data to derive meaningful insights.
• Develop and refine models and algorithms for data processing and analysis.
• Contribute to the design and development of new radio astronomy instrumentation.
• Collaborate with team members on research projects and contribute to scientific publications.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in radio astronomy and related technologies.
• Participate in conferences, workshops, and seminars to present research findings.
• Maintain and troubleshoot observatory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain proper documentation of experiments and observations.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Astrophysics or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in radio astronomy research and data analysis.

• Interferometry Techniques

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
