Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dairy Hand. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks in our dairy farm, ensuring the proper care and maintenance of the dairy cows and assisting with milk production.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the milking process and equipment upkeep.
• Maintain hygiene standards in the dairy environment.
• Feed and care for cows to ensure their health.
• Conduct regular health checks on the dairy herd.
• Participate in breeding and calving activities.
• Administer medicines and vaccines as required.
• Conduct maintenance and cleaning tasks on the farm.
• Help with forage management and pasture rotation.
• Comply with all safety regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of relevant agricultural courses/certifications is advantageous.

Experience

• Experience with milking cows and operating milking equipment is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of dairy farm best practices

Languages

• English: Fluent
