Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Ivory Carver to join our creative team at Artisan Creations. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting intricate designs and sculptures from ivory, showcasing your exceptional artistry and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute unique carvings and sculptures tailored to client specifications.
• Utilise a variety of tools to achieve high-quality finishes on ivory.
• Participate in exhibitions and showcase completed works.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
• Conduct quality checks on finished pieces to ensure they meet company standards.
• Research and apply traditional and contemporary carving techniques.
• Assist in training new team members in carving skills and techniques.
• Engage with clients to understand their vision and deliver on it effectively.
• Document the creation process for marketing and portfolio purposes.
• Work closely with other artisans to enhance collaborative projects.

Requirements

Education

• Proven experience as an Ivory Carver or similar role
• Formal training or apprenticeship in ivory carving is desirable

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Ivory Carver
