Job Description

As a Certified First Assistant (CFA), you will play a crucial role in providing surgical assistance to surgeons during procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing surgical equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and ensuring effective communication with the surgical team. Experience in a surgical setting is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment is sterile.
  • Assist the surgical team in monitoring patient conditions.
  • Participate in surgical briefings and debriefings.
  • Help manage patient positioning and comfort.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a sterile environment.
  • Assist with inventory and supply management of surgical tools.
  • Support education and training of new surgical staff members.
  • Provide assistance during emergency procedures.
  • Document all activities during surgical procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field
Experience
  • Experience with complex surgical procedures is preferred.

Languages
  • English: Fluent
