We are seeking a motivated Underwriter to join our Leeds team. As an Underwriter, you will assess risks, set premiums, and ensure that all policies comply with regulatory standards. Your keen analytical skills and attention to detail will be vital in making informed underwriting decisions.

Responsibilities

• Utilise underwriting software to analyse risks and set premiums.
• Maintain relationships with brokers to ensure quality service.
• Participate in training sessions to stay informed on best practices.
• Monitor and review claims to improve underwriting practices and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in risk management or underwriting

Technical Skills

• Underwriting Software Proficiency
• Market Analysis

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Fellowship in the Institute of Risk Management (IRM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with automated underwriting systems: Hands-on experience with technology that supports underwriting processes.
