Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist who can provide expert care to patients in need of rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will utilise a range of therapeutic techniques, collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient recovery and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose patients' needs for occupational therapy interventions.
  • Plan and execute treatment sessions based on therapy goals and patient abilities.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention and self-management strategies.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, doctors, and other healthcare workers to coordinate care.
  • Contribute to the development of therapy resources and materials.
  • Participate in case management discussions to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Stay informed on relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure equipment and therapy areas are maintained and safe.
  • Engage patients in community reintegration efforts post-recovery.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of occupational therapy experience is preferred
