Job Description

We are seeking an Incoming Freight Clerk to manage incoming shipments effectively. Your tasks will include unpacking deliveries, tracking shipments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. If you are organised and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt and processing of all incoming freight.
  • Inspect deliveries for quality assurance and compliance.
  • Log and track shipments in the inventory management system.
  • Schedule and co-ordinate delivery times with relevant departments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding inbound shipments.
  • Update inventory records to reflect accurate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular audits of incoming shipments.
  • Support the warehouse team with other logistical tasks.

Requirements

Education
  • GCSEs in relevant subjects
  • Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in a logistics role, preferably in freight handling

  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with Customs Procedures: Understanding of customs regulations and ability to manage customs documentation.
