Job Description

The Biology Teacher will be responsible for educating secondary school students in biology, crafting comprehensive lesson plans, and assessing student performance while providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning journey.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement innovative lesson plans that captivate students' interest.
  • Evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents about student achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Contribute to the science department's development strategies and initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity and inquiry in students.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote science education.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or Education
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience
  • At least one year of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of biology concepts
  • Use of Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Languages
  • English: Fluent
