Information Systems Security Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Information Systems Security Manager to oversee our organization's information security program. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through effective policy and procedure implementation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Implement security controls in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are effective.
• Research and evaluate new security technologies and their application.
• Assist in developing security awareness programs for employees.
• Prepare reports on security incidents and compliance status for management.
• Coordinate with IT for incident response and remediation efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Master's degree in Information Security is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in information systems security

Technical Skills

• Firewalls (e.g. Cisco ASA, Fortinet)
• ISO 27001
• Incident Response
• Security Risk Assessments

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical thinking

Certifications

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a leadership or managerial role: Experience leading a security team or project within an organization.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices: Understanding cloud security concepts, especially in AWS or Azure environments.
