Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tack Maker to produce bespoke equestrian equipment, including saddles, bridles, reins, and more. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship, working closely with clients to create tailor-made solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create bespoke equestrian gear tailored to customer specifications.
  • Ensure high standards are met during the production process.
  • Use appropriate hand tools and machinery for construction.
  • Adapt designs based on feedback and industry standards.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in tack-making techniques.
  • Monitor stock and manage supplies of materials.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills.
  • Manage multiple projects to meet client deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the design team to problem-solve.
  • Document processes and maintain accurate records.

Advantageous

  • Experience with Antique Restoration: Skills in repairing and restoring vintage or collectible tack items.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in supervising or training new staff in tack-making practices.
