Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Meat Counter Clerk to join our busy butcher department. The successful candidate will deliver top-notch customer service while expertly handling meat products. You'll maintain cleanliness and organization at the counter, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with meat selection and provide detailed product information.
• Cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat for display.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Track inventory levels and assist in orders.
• Follow all store policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations.
• Participate in training programmes for skill enhancement.
• Engage with customers to foster long-term relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2)

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Meat preparation skills

• Strong communication skills
