Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hazardous Waste Material Technician to join our dedicated team. Your role will involve managing and disposing of hazardous waste materials in strict compliance with regulations. You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and classify hazardous waste types accurately.
  • Ensure the safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental health and safety standards.
  • Perform inspections on waste handling processes.
  • Document waste management activities in compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure efficient waste management practices.
  • Participate in emergency response drills related to hazardous materials.
  • Assist in audits and inspections of waste disposal sites.
  • Provide training support for new employees regarding waste management practices.
  • Identify training needs for compliance and safety in hazardous waste handling.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred
Experience
  • Experience in coordinating waste management or environmental services.
