Job Description

As a Carpenter/ Wharf Builder, you'll be instrumental in constructing and maintaining docks, piers, and wharves. Your role will ensure that these critical structures are built to industry safety standards while collaborating closely with project teams to deliver projects on time.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the construction of wharf structures and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects on design specifications.
  • Manage project timelines and efficiently allocate resources.
  • Oversee procurement of construction materials and equipment.
  • Perform regular site inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Document construction progress and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Identify and troubleshoot construction-related issues.
  • Facilitate skill development and training within the construction team.
  • Engage with clients to understand project requirements.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety on-site.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in construction
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, especially in marine projects.
