Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee our projects based in Bristol. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role requires excellent leadership skills, practical experience in construction management, and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all construction activities.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
• Work collaboratively with all team members to achieve project goals.
• Prepare and present project updates to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and legal regulations.
• Implement best practices for construction management.
• Assess and manage potential risks throughout the project.
• Maintain detailed project documentation.
• Create and manage a project budget and forecast expenses.
• Coordinate training and development for site staff as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in the construction industry

Certifications

• Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) certification
