Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Painter to join our talented team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of various painting techniques. You will play a vital role in transforming commercial spaces while ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within set deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough preparations of surfaces to ensure a smooth application of paint.
• Apply various paint types effectively to achieve desired finishes.
• Assist in managing project timelines and communicating with clients effectively.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure high-quality outcomes on all projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and efficient working condition.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge of painting techniques.

Requirements

Education

• City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Painting and Decorating
• Valid CSCS card

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commercial Painter in the construction industry.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of different paint types, brushes, and rollers
• Experience with paint mixing and colour matching

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving abilities
• Physical stamina and ability to work at heights

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with commercial wallpapering: Ability to apply wallpaper effectively in commercial settings.
• Additional trade skills: Possession of skills such as plastering or carpentry can be advantageous.
