Medical Orderly

Job Description

As a Medical Orderly, you will provide essential support in delivering high-quality patient care. You’ll work closely with nurses and medical staff to assist patients with daily activities and ensure their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in executing treatment plans and procedures.
• Ensure the hygiene and tidiness of patient areas.
• Assist with mobility and movement aids for patients.
• Monitor and record patient food and fluid intake.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to create a supportive environment.
• Participate in ward rounds and provide valuable patient insights.
• Report any safety concerns or equipment issues immediately.
• Engage in patient activities to promote wellbeing and recovery.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) programme

Experience

• Experience working with elderly or disabled patients is advantageous.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in palliative care: Understanding and providing support to patients in end-of-life care.
