Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Safety Inspector to join our team in Manchester. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations on construction sites. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in health and safety practices, along with excellent observation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections and risk assessments for multiple construction sites.
  • Provide guidance on safety regulations and compliance.
  • Document and report safety violations and incidents promptly.
  • Work closely with project managers to enhance site safety.
  • Deliver safety briefings and training sessions for site staff.
  • Conduct safety audits and maintain inspection records.
  • Stay abreast of changes in legislation and best practices.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of safety protocols and recommend improvements.
  • Act as a resource for safety-related queries from staff and contractors.
  • Assist in the preparation of safety plans and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification
Experience
  • 5+ years in health and safety within construction
Technical Skills
  • Construction Safety Management
  • Health and Safety Legislation

Advantageous

  • Certification in First Aid and CPR: Hold current first aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience with Safety Management Software: Familiarity with software for tracking safety performance.
