Job Description

As a Mechanical Drafter, you will play a critical role in the automotive design process by creating and modifying layouts using advanced CAD software. Collaborating closely with engineers and designers, you will ensure that each design meets industry standards while also adhering to specific project guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilise CAD software to develop and modify automotive design layouts based on provided specifications.
• Work closely with engineering teams to incorporate necessary modifications and improvements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain required technical information and components.
• Prepare and present design layouts for review and approval.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of design changes and modifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design methodology.
• Conduct training sessions for junior drafters on best practices in technical drawing.
• Participate in design review meetings to promote collaborative feedback.
• Assist in the development of technical specifications and design documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Additional certifications in automotive design will be considered an asset.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting or automotive design.
