Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Officer to join our HR Compliance team in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate remuneration for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for our employees.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies on payroll.
  • Process and review payroll adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare and process tax and pension-related paperwork.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll practices and regulations.
  • Work with external agencies on payroll-related issues.
  • Develop payroll metrics to assess payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous professional development in payroll management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Certificate in Payroll Administration is a plus
Experience
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a corporate environment
