Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Officer to join our HR Compliance team in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate remuneration for employees.
Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for our employees.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies on payroll.
Process and review payroll adjustments as necessary.
Prepare and process tax and pension-related paperwork.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll practices and regulations.
Work with external agencies on payroll-related issues.
Develop payroll metrics to assess payroll accuracy and efficiency.
Engage in continuous professional development in payroll management.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
Certificate in Payroll Administration is a plus
Experience
3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a corporate environment
