Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Iron and Steel Worker who will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and repair of iron and steel structures. You will work closely with other tradespeople and engineers to ensure project specifications are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute steel installation projects.
  • Operate machinery and tools following safety guidelines.
  • Prepare sites by clearing debris and ensuring safety measures are in place.
  • Review and adjust work processes for efficiency.
  • Assist in the evaluation of structural integrity and suggest repairs as needed.
  • Engage in ongoing training to improve skills in the field.
  • Conduct final inspections and ensure all work meets company standards.
  • Work flexible hours including overtime as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade school certification in welding or metalwork is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in iron and steel welding
