Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our Edinburgh team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing mental health support and therapeutic interventions to diverse clients. This role requires a compassionate individual with a strong understanding of mental health issues and a commitment to promoting recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial consultations and follow-up assessments to evaluate client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to create actionable recovery plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapeutic interventions to foster recovery.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in inter-agency meetings to discuss shared clients.
  • Document all client interactions and interventions comprehensively.
  • Provide psychoeducation and promote mental health awareness in the community.
  • Engage in reflective practice to enhance personal and professional growth.
  • Advise clients on coping strategies and resources for ongoing support.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
  • Postgraduate training in a therapeutic approach is advantageous
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a mental health environment.
