Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Adoption Counselor to facilitate the adoption process for animals in our shelter. Your role will involve ensuring animals are placed in suitable homes and providing ongoing support to adoptive families.

Responsibilities

• Manage the social media presence related to adoption stories and successes.
• Advise potential adopters on animal behaviour, care, and needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of animals for adoption, including health checks and vaccinations.
• Conduct follow-up calls with adopters to ensure animal welfare and satisfaction.
• Build relationships with local pet stores and businesses to promote adoption.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Advanced degree in Social Work or Psychology preferred

Experience

• Experience in customer service or sales role
