Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our maintenance operations in Stevenage. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing vehicle fleets and a comprehensive understanding of maintenance procedures and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the maintenance team.
• Schedule vehicle inspections and necessary repairs.
• Ensure effective stock management of parts and supplies.
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the team.
• Engage with vendors and service providers for fleet requirements.
• Review and approve maintenance service contracts.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance staff.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• 5+ years in a supervisory role within fleet maintenance

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance Standards
• Repair Management

Soft Skills

• Team Building
• Negotiation

Certifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance
• First Aid at Work Certified

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
