Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising on their safe use, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients.
• Assess medication therapy and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage medication inventory and handle recalls or shortages.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education.
• Establish and maintain patient relationships for ongoing care.
• Contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• PhD in Pharmacy is highly regarded

Experience

• Current GPhC registration and experience in a retail setting

Technical Skills

• Medication Therapy Management
• Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Health Coach
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Pharmacy Management Software: Experience using pharmacy management software to enhance operations.
• Background in Clinical Research: Experience in conducting clinical research studies.
