As an Artificial Glass Eye Maker, you will play a vital role in crafting and fitting custom-made prosthetic eyes for patients. This position demands a high level of skill and meticulous attention to detail. You will work closely with various healthcare professionals to ensure a comfortable and natural-looking result.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients before the fitting process, ensuring all measurements are precise.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to offer comprehensive care.
• Conduct follow-up consultations to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Document the fitting process and adjustments made to prosthetic eyes.
• Educate patients about the care and maintenance of their prosthetic devices.
• Utilize CAD software for designing prototype prosthetic eyes.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or higher in prosthetics or a related field
• Advanced qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. City and Guilds Prosthetics Certificate)

Experience

• Proven experience with sculpting and colour-matching

Technical Skills

• Experience with 3D printers
• Familiarity with medical-grade materials

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under pressure
• Time management skills

Certifications

Languages
