Job Description

We are searching for a dedicated Vehicle Engineer to join our automotive services team in Dumfries. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in vehicle systems and engineering principles, focusing on optimising performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Analyse vehicle performance data to recommend design changes.
• Prepare reports and presentations on engineering findings and developments.
• Mentor and support team members in their professional growth.
• Conduct training sessions on new processes and technologies.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Automotive Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in automotive engineering, with extensive vehicle testing experience

• CAD Software
• Simulation Tools

• Interpersonal Skills
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Automotive Engineer (CAE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Electric Vehicles: Hands-on experience with electric vehicle design and performance evaluations.
• Familiarity with Industry Standards: Understanding of ISO and other automotive industry standards.
