Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Hearings Reporter to join our team. This role involves attending legal hearings and accurately transcribing proceedings for documentation purposes. Ideal candidates will possess excellent listening skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Record audio during trials and hearings, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
• Prepare transcripts that are clear, concise, and free of errors.
• Communicate effectively with legal professionals to clarify information from hearings.
• Utilise transcription software and equipment to aid in accurate documentation.
• Organise and maintain case files and related documents for easy access.
• Attend training sessions to improve skills and stay informed about legal changes.
• Provide timely feedback to improve the documentation process.
• Work collaboratively with fellow reporters and legal teams.

Requirements

Education

• A recognised certification or diploma in legal studies or related field.

Experience

• Prior experience in transcribing legal hearings or similar roles is highly desirable.

Languages
