Commercial Carpet Installer

Job Description

The Commercial Carpet Installer will be responsible for installing and maintaining carpets in commercial properties. They will collaborate closely with clients and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial carpets on various subfloors, including concrete, wood, and tile.
• Level subfloors and repair any damage before installing carpets.
• Seam carpets together using hot-melt adhesives or other techniques.
• Install tack strips and padding to secure carpets in place.
• Communicate with customers to ensure their needs are met and issues addressed swiftly.
• Clean up job sites and responsibly dispose of old carpets and debris.
• Document installations and customer feedback for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams for project coordination.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in Flooring Installation.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in carpet installation.

Technical Skills

• Tool proficiency
• Blueprint reading

Soft Skills

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.: Familiarity with relevant safety standards in installation work.
