Job Description

As a Veterinary Nurse at Corby Veterinary Clinic, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to our furry patients. You will be responsible for assisting our veterinarians in surgeries, administering medications, and providing client education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and a strong background in veterinary nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the veterinary team to ensure high-quality animal care.
  • Prepare surgical equipment and assist in anesthesia monitoring.
  • Conduct routine health checks and prepare animals for examinations.
  • Engage in client communication to provide updates on their pets.
  • Manage inventory and order veterinary supplies as necessary.
  • Contribute to a positive clinic atmosphere for staff and clients.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff for effective clinic operation.
  • Promote clinic services and outreach activities.
  • Participate in training and mentoring of junior staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
  • Additional qualifications in animal behaviour or surgical nursing preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary nursing
