Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive mental health support within our educational institutions. You will conduct assessments, collaborate with staff, and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students with learning and behavioural issues.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and parents to create supportive learning environments.
  • Provide consultation to teachers regarding strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Organise workshops for staff on mental health issues and literacy in psychological practices.
  • Participate in crisis intervention procedures as required.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and relevant legislation in all practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Educational Psychology or relevant field
  • Doctorate in Psychology preferred
Experience
  • Experience in a school setting as a psychologist or counsellor.
