Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Plating Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating plating machines to apply protective coatings on a variety of surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and adjust parameters for plating processes.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and applying necessary primers.
• Inspect and control the spraying process for quality assurance.
• Record production data and equipment maintenance logs.
• Adhere to safety standards to minimize workplace hazards.
• Assist in the training of junior staff on operational procedures.
• Enhance operational processes using continuous improvement methods.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss performance and targets.
• Stay updated on industry advancements related to plating technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Technical qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a plating environment

Technical Skills

• Spraying techniques
• Equipment maintenance

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• HNC in Engineering or Manufacturing

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in an aerospace or automotive plating environment: Knowledge of specific industry requirements for plating processes.
• Certification in metal spraying processes: Any relevant certification related to metal spraying will be advantageous.
