Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will provide legal support across various divisions, assist in compliance initiatives, and ensure alignment with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal projects and initiatives to enhance organisational compliance.
• Provide insights on legal risks associated with company activities.
• Support M&A activities and assist in due diligence.
• Advocate for best legal practices across the organisation.
• Communicate with stakeholders regarding legal matters and necessary actions.

Requirements

Education

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in the UK
• Postgraduate qualification in Law preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Commercial Law
• Litigation

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• Mediation and Arbitration Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Data Protection Laws: Knowledge of GDPR and related data protection regulations is advantageous.
• Experience in a Corporate Environment: Experience providing legal support in a corporate setting is preferred.
