Job Description

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals at our sanctuary. Your daily tasks will include feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the animals, as well as interacting with the public and promoting animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular health checks and maintain records.
  • Coordinate with volunteers for care and enrichment activities.
  • Assist in transporting animals for medical care when required.
  • Participate in training programs for new staff and volunteers.
  • Keep up with continuing education and animal care best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate in Animal Care or Veterinary Assistance is preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred.
