Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Durham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal welfare. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries, and providing exceptional care to our animal patients.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose animal health problems through examinations and tests.
  • Perform surgeries, including invasive procedures.
  • Build relationships with pet owners through effective communication.
  • Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progressive histories.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to ensure recovery and wellbeing.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain licensure and skills.
  • Advocate for animal welfare and public health education.
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative workplace.
  • Assist in stock management of veterinary supplies.
  • Engage with local shelters and animal rescue organizations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Veterinary Medicine preferred
