We are seeking a proactive Fleet Manager to lead our fleet operations in Stockport. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fleet management, with strong leadership abilities and a keen eye for efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fleet, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing vehicle maintenance schedules.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of fleet personnel, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and implement strategies to reduce costs.
  • Analyse fleet data and recommend improvements to fleet operations.
  • Work closely with the HR department on recruitment and training of new drivers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fleet management.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Management, or a related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Fleet Management Software Proficient in various fleet management software for tracking and reporting.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Knowledge Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
  • Leadership Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Road Haulage
  • Fleet Management Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to assess fleet performance metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Experience in Budgeting and Financial Reporting: History of managing budgets and financial reporting for fleet operations.
