Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer in Cardiff to enhance community health initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of health programs to combat public health concerns, engaging with community members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee health education initiatives and outreach programs.
  • Work with public health professionals to evaluate health data.
  • Engage in advocacy efforts for public health policies.
  • Organise health fairs and community wellness events.
  • Conduct training sessions for community health workers.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address health disparities.
  • Develop strategies to increase access to health services.
  • Provide training and resources to improve health literacy among community members.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health or related disciplines is highly preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant public health experience
Technical Skills
  • Statistical Software (e.g., SPSS, R)

Certifications
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
