Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our HR team in York. The ideal candidate will manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all HR regulations and working closely with our finance department. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate payroll records and fostering a smooth payroll operation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure payroll processing aligns with HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing payroll budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare payroll documentation for new hires and transfers.
  • Monitor payroll system updates and maintain software integrity.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage employee leave and absence reports for payroll purposes.
  • Provide training for new payroll staff on systems and processes.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to mitigate risk.
  • Facilitate employee access to payroll portals.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and security.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent preferred

  • 3+ years of payroll administration experience
