Job Description

As a Transportation Planner in Lisburn, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of our transport systems. We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic professional who can engage with stakeholders to develop effective transport plans that address current and future community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate transportation studies to optimise service delivery.
  • Evaluate and prioritise transportation projects based on community needs and budget constraints.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local government officials and community leaders.
  • Conduct public engagement sessions to inform and involve the public in transport planning.
  • Analyse travel patterns and trends to enhance transportation services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on project implementation.
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentations for public hearings and meetings.
  • Implement and manage transportation modelling software.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars on transportation planning.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance for transportation projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional certification in Transportation Planning is a plus
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in transportation planning
