Job Description

The Cotton Classer Aide will play a crucial role in assisting the Cotton Classer in grading and classing cotton, ensuring that all products meet the highest industry standards. Ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn about cotton processing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cotton Classer in classifying cotton grades.
• Conduct visual inspections of cotton samples for consistency.
• Document results and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding quality concerns.
• Help in keeping the equipment and work area hygienic and safe.
• Assist in conducting quality tests to meet industry standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in cotton grading and classing is an advantage

Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Cotton Grading Knowledge
• Equipment Operation Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with ISO standards: Understanding of international quality standards applicable to textiles.
• Experience in a quality assurance role: Prior experience in a similar position is beneficial.
