Job Description

As an Electric Arc Welder, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, utilising electric arc welding techniques to join metal components according to specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality structures and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety and operational procedures during all welding activities.
  • Conduct inspections on welding equipment and ensure functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess design specifications.
  • Provide welding support for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Document and report all welding defects or issues.
  • Actively participate in team meetings to discuss project updates.
  • Help develop new welding techniques and practices for better efficiency.
  • Engage in ongoing skill development and training.
  • Assist in the development of project timelines and deadlines.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship in all tasks.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid welding certification (e.g., City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship in welding is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electric arc welding.
