Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analysing medical records to assign appropriate billing codes, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits on medical records to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely availability of documentation.
  • Monitor and report coding discrepancies to management.
  • Utilise electronic health record (EHR) systems for coding assignments.
  • Assist in training new staff on coding procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CCS, CPC)
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in medical coding.
Technical Skills
  • Medical billing software (e.g., Medisoft, Kareo)
  • EHR systems

Certifications
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
Languages
