Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TUAV) Operations Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TUAV) Operations Technician to join our team. As a TUAV Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of unmanned aerial vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. You will perform pre-flight inspections, operate UAVs for data collection, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing TUAV missions.
• Manage flight operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Document and report on all operational activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
• Educate team members on TUAV protocols and safety guidelines.
• Facilitate training for new TUAV operators.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on UAV systems.
• Implement recommendations for enhancing operational procedures.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to discuss UAV mission outcomes.
• Identify areas for improvement in existing UAV operations.

Requirements

Education

• Valid Remote Pilot License (RPL) or equivalent
• Higher National Diploma in a relevant field preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in TUAV operations.

Technical Skills

• Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python).

Soft Skills

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work under pressure.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with UAV maintenance and repair.: Hands-on experience in servicing and repairing UAV systems.
• Certifications in Drone Operation Safety.: Any formal qualifications that outline safety practices for drone operations.
