Rail-Track Laying and Maintenance Equipment Operators

Job Description

We are currently looking for dedicated Rail-Track Laying and Maintenance Equipment Operators to join our team in London. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the safe operation of maintenance equipment on rail tracks, ensuring high safety standards and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of rail maintenance equipment, including excavators and tampers.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance on tools and machinery.
• Support track laying operations and any necessary repairs.
• Adhere to all operational safety policies and procedures.
• Notify supervisors of any issues with machinery or site conditions.
• Work as part of a team to effectively manage project timelines.
• Document maintenance tasks and report completion to the supervisor.
• Engage in site safety drills and compliance checks.
• Assist in removal of snow and other materials from worksites when needed.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Relevant vocational or technical certifications are a plus

Experience

• Prior experience in a maintenance or construction role is a plus.

• Machinery operation skills
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge

Certifications

• Safety training certification
• Forklift operation certification is advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent
